Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs, KM 10/Mile 6, Takhini Hot Springs Rd, Whitehorse,

We were under the illusion that if we started heading south, the weather would get warmer. We were very wrong. Today was a clod day, temperatures were hovering at lower 50F to higher 40F, cloudy, and mostly rainy.
We stopped at Braeburn Lodge to buy and taste one of their huge cinnamon buns: very tasty, but frankly, all Cinnamon buns taste the same. Still, it was a nice place to stop and watch the photos of the sled dogs, as this is a checkpoint in the 1000-miles dogsled famous winter race of Yukon.
Whitehorse surprised us as a big vibrant city. We sampled every primary grocery store in town and equipped for the journey south.
The colder the weather was, the more we wanted to soak in the hot springs. Eclipse Northern Hot springs just opened again after three years – recovering from a fire and changing its name from Takhini hot springs. Despite the construction on site- the place was fabulous. The mountains around had their last stretches of snow, and the water was warm and relaxing. After 2 hours, we felt like new – and headed to Johnson Crossing for our night camping. At 0730 pm, the camp was closed, and the host asked us not to bother her now, just grab a site and come tomorrow. If the mosquitos are a hint for the next few days – I believe we are in trouble.
